Conceptualization is a bane of the twenty first century due to the rapid dissemination of knowledge. And concept precedes practice. Therefore, there is a need for a philosophy that will anchor practice. That is why the issue of conceptualization becomes critical. The conception of reality is topical because humans are getting enlightened hence the need to be certain of what is happening.

Conceptual view is a view that sees ideas from a single perspective.
In the world of knowledge explosions, concept suffers damage. People tend to choose a single idea and make it seem the universal truth. People tend to develop a personal philosophy for their life. But we need to redefine our philosophy rationally.

We tend to make meaning out every situation or provide an explanation for the cosmic happenings. Meaning here, can therefore be said to be the essential and ultimate motivation for the purpose of achievement in human endeavors.
Lack of meaning in life leads to many problems like depression. The search for meaning is very essential. The search for meaning which remains major premise of humanity, creates and determines one’s success or failure.

This piece may not necessarily give answers but it is aimed at raising questions that will trigger criticality in conceptualizing reality.
Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines reality as something that is neither derivative or dependent but exists necessarily.

Reality is the truth and remains independent irrespective of acceptance or denial.

Reality is truth and this truth is not sought after as a moral requirement but an ideal and necessity of life. The term conceptual in this manuscript denotes a concept that is mis-conceptualized, that is seen from a single perspective.

Humanity is in search of a philosophy that will define and bring meaning out of life and at the process become conceptual beings.
Humanity is in dilemma as a result of the search for reality.

The parameters for determining reality poses a serious challenge. People are in dilemma due to inability to determine it. People give the definition of life based on their personal experience. But there is need for versality in thinking. Reality is always seen in the realm of experience, because some feel that reality cannot be outside their experience and this leads us to the question, is reality same as experience? Must reality be universally valid?
Is reality personal or universal?

A world in this manuscript is a segment of interaction between humans and ideas.
People interact with Ideas in the metaphysical, Epistemological, ethical worlds.
The interaction will determine one’s worldview as either conceptual or comprehensive. Metaphysics is the study of the nature of reality.

But for the purpose of this write up, a little etymological analysis will be made.
Etymologically, the word Metaphysics is derived from a Latin word ‘META PHYSICA’ and it means ‘BEYOND THE PHYSICAL’.
We can deduce that metaphysics is the study of entities beyond the physical.
It therefore presupposes that reality is beyond the physical. Rationally, sometimes reality do changes it form with time. Ones conception of reality provides an ultimate framework for achievement. Reality is related to meaning and accomplishment in life.

Reality Sometimes looks like just the cause for an occurrence.
Hence from the above, reality could be seen as the cause for an event; hence beyond the physical, that is beyond what really happened. We tend to search for meaning when the reality about meaning which we hold seem unrealistic.

For us to be free from conceptual reality, our thought of what is real must transcends beyond the physical.
This is a domain of knowledge and justifications. Our ideas need that forms what is real must be justified rationally.
The epistemological world is responsible for the crises in the metaphysical world regarding the subject matter, because the formation of what is real, which is in the metaphysical world takes place under the epistemological world. All the ideas that qualifies to be reality are essentially epistemological on nature.

Hence once conceptualization must involve the two worlds.
Dealing basically with questions of moral concerns, misconceptions are bound to occur as a result of the diversity of standards for ethical judgement.
The study of Ethical standard gives birth to a moral or unmoral society.

How do people make misconceptions in the ethical world? Not a mere repetition but it’s noteworthy that the ethical misconceptions are epistemological in nature because epistemology provides the framework for determining ethical issues.
Hence, knowledge of the right or wrong. One may ask is there any universal standard for determining what is right or wrong? Is the real about what is right or wrong, is it personal or universal? And who determines such standards?

What a person or group consider ethical may appear otherwise to others.
But in the ethical world, there are universally valid standards and norms for determining what one ought to do or not. Ethics is highly relative on our world.
We are in a world of lack of absolute ethics, we are gradually drifting into an abyss of ethical relativism which will make justice too complex because our standards vary unproportionate. Ethical objectivity should be the ultimate measure for ethical judgment.

The twenty first century is saddled with a lot of concern of rationality.
Hence the need for reappraisal of what is real.
There is no doubt that reality and rationality are deeply intertwined.
G. W. F Hegel said ‘the real is rational and the rational is real’.
Therefore, it will not be fallacious or fictious if we conclude that the supreme and ultimate measure of reality is rationality.
The mutuality between reality and rationality can never be divorced. They are mutually dependent.
Rational thinking is devoid of sentiments and all other forms of bias.
The world should stop moving towards the shore of sentiments and start moving towards the shore of rationality and by so doing, the definition of life will be appropriate.
