In Love

I’m in love – with a woman,

but I’m credulous. (I only
pretend)

So she plays my
heart like David’s
harp, I Ienjoy the tune.

We are in a temple
set across a God who
knows what’s concealed
in the breasts of men.

She prays and pleads
guilty – discreetly
that let God forgive
whom
He pleases and men,
scorn who they scorn.
